The clown CoCo, who is a pharmacist by profession, was born
in the Neander valley.
He became known outside the region through the talk show
"Zu Gast im Kohlenpott" (Visitors in the Ruhr Area),
which he not only developed for the benefit of aid organisations
for children, but also organised and presented.
High ranking guests like Maria Lucas, Johannes Rau, Rudi
Carrell, Otto Graf Lambsdorff, Ralf Möller, Milan Sladek
and many others contributed to the success.
He subsequently also organised and presented gala festivals.
In 1994 he founded the German children's aid organisation
"Children for a better world" together with Florian
Langenscheidt, Peter Maffay and many others.
In 2001 he developed the white clown CoCo in co-operation
with Christopher Hustert.
